Belladonna a highly toxic plant also known as deadly nightshade

grows wild across Europe produce yellow flowers in July and dark red berries in late summer.

Its name meaning "beautiful woman" in Italian

The name dates from the Renaissance, when ladies of Italy dilated their pupils with belladonna eye drops for a doe eyed appearance.
